"Roots. That's a good word for it. Everybody's got a family tree and just to know how the roots grew, well that gives you a sense of who you are." spoken by Martha Corinne Walton, The Waltons, Episode 10, 1976

Wordless Wednesday
A photograph of my great great aunt Dessie Adams Huffman of Sabina, Clinton County, Ohio. She loved to wear hats!
LOL Wow! That is by far the coolest hat I have seen. Look at all the gathers of fabric. I bet it was actually very beautiful and intricate. What color do you think it was - cream, pink? Great photo!
I would love to know the color. Dessie's step-mother was hatmaker, so I'm sure she had quite an extensive collection of hats from which to choose. I wish some of them still survived! How much fun would it be to try them on?
I have NEVER seen this one either!!! WOW! I also didn't know her step-mother was a hatmaker. Keep educating me!!! Could you email me these two pictures of Grandma? Thank you !!
