ReplyDeleteJust proves that our family's stories are woven from pieces both good and bad, wonderful and horrifying, proud and embarrassing. Not all memories are good but all experiences shape the character and their story - a true piece of "His-Story."

ReplyDeleteLast fall at the local book fair, I met a man who had written of his experiences when his Thunderbird Division (45 Infantry)liberated Dachau. These stories, as you uncle's, are stories that must be told and retold --- Lest we Forget.
