"Roots. That's a good word for it. Everybody's got a family tree and just to know how the roots grew, well that gives you a sense of who you are." spoken by Martha Corinne Walton, The Waltons, Episode 10, 1976

Wordless Wednesday - Grandpa and Grandson
This is one of my favorite photographs. It pictures my father and his grandfather, John Huffman, of Sabina, Ohio. This was taken when my dad was on leave from the Air Force in 1951.
Very memorable. John and Tillie lived next door to me when I was a child. Dad had the store on the corner of Howard and Dakin Chapel Rd. We lived next door, and John was on the other side. A great man, one I remember fondly. Kent Daughtrey
You can see the joy in their faces...what a great picture!
ReplyDeleteSuch happy faces....love your photo, too. I have to look up Sabina, OH....don't know where it is.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show that no matter how old you are - sitting on your grandpa's lap is one of life's many joys. Great photo Lori
